Family-owned. Industry-focused.
Brent spent over 15 years working across several supporting areas of the mining industry — from the tools all the way through to a management role in equipment hire and maintenance. After stepping back to the tools, he saw with fresh eyes what everyone in the industry quietly knew: there was a genuine gap that simply wasn't being filled. Nobody was coordinating the full equipment sourcing picture for project teams. So he built KBT to do exactly that.
Kaitlyn's background is in Event Management and Coordination — an industry that faces strikingly similar challenges. When you're planning large-scale community events, sourcing equipment and chasing quotes across multiple suppliers is one of the most costly and time-consuming parts of the job. It falls between the cracks when you have a hundred other things demanding attention. That lived experience helped KBT understand the problem isn't unique to mining — it's felt wherever projects rely on equipment from multiple places.
